Next 6 Months for Ultra Manly Book Club

Looking for the right Christmas gift(s) for that special someone?  As always, we’ve got you covered.

Announcing the next 6 months worth of books for the Ultra Manly Book Club!

We can’t promise that they’ll actually BE manly, or good for that matter, as we haven’t read them yet.  What we can promise is that they’ll be intriguing and worthwhile reads.  The Ultra Manly Books Club has a unique and complex formula we use when picking out books.  Trust us, it’s waaay too complicated to explain in detail, though I will say that the process involves listing books that we’ve heard of.  So it’s pretty scientific.  After we do that we try to get a good mix of genres, times, length, etc.  After assigning our patented Manly Quotient to the list, we get our results.

But you don’t care how we do it, you just care that we do.  Therefore, with out further ado, I give you the next 6 months.  See below for the books and a short description for why we’re doing each.  Click on the book to see the full description at Amazon or to buy.

If you order now, they’ll be here in time for Christmas!  If you order the kindle versions, they’ll be here in time for now.

January February March
Baseball book, supposed to be one of the best books of 2011. The first of CS Lewis’ brilliant Space Trilogy. American book award winner about a man who sells his soul to the devil for legendary blues skills.

April May June (It’s a twofer people!)
Ultra Manly Book Club’s first western! About time we got a Vonnegut book in here. Short book about a Medieval hermit.  Yup. Short book about a boy trying to figure out who he is as a man.

About zach

Staring out across the hazy mountain range on his latest summitting of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Zach saw with a clearness he had not yet seen. "People should tremble at the very sound of my name", he thought. And it was so. "I should master the manly arts of the world, such as barehanded hunting and blacksmithing". And it was so. "People should call me Z$". And it was so.
