  1. Hi Ultra Manly Book Club,

I was wondering if you would be interested in reviewing my new book, American MaleWhore in Tokyo (76,000 words).

It’s a juvenile/explicit comedy with literary elements mixed in that also sheds light on Japan and its culture in general as well as the dazzling yet seedy culture of host clubs. It tells the story of an American who moves to Tokyo with the goal of becoming a successful host, the job duties of which include getting paid by women to party, flirt, and quite often sleep with them. In real life, some of these guys make astounding amounts of money while doing astounding amounts of damage to their livers.

If you’re interested, I would be happy to provide you with a paperback (just let me know what address to send it to) or Kindle edition (just let me know what address to gift it to) in return for an honest review. And if it’s not up your alley, you’re more than welcome to quit at any time, burn the paperback or punch your Kindle in the face, and never speak of this again.

Below, please find a few quotes from some Goodreads readers’ reviews.

    Kanpai,
    John Box

“I laughed throughout the entire book. This made me think if there was a love child between Dumb and Dumber and Idiot Abroad…this book would be it!” – Lisa Foxx, Goodreads

“I loved this book! It was hilarious, entertaining, philosophical, and culturally enlightening. I knew next to nothing about Japan before reading this and now I feel I have a decent amount of knowledge of it. This book reminded me of The Alchemist which is a very high compliment as that is one of my favorite books.” – Jason, Goodreads

“I was continually interrupting my wife to read her funny excerpts from the book. She didn’t think any of them were funny, which in fact means that they were all extremely funny.
If you like “The Alphabet of Manliness” then you will like this book. If you like NPR, then you will hate this book, but it will probably make you a more likable person.” – Andy, Goodreads

  6. Applying ice to swollen areas and taking anti-inflammatory medications may relieve some of the pain. If the injury is not severe, the recovery should be fast.
Ill-fitting shoes may also cause pain because they tend to squeeze
the foot, causing the pressure inside the increase.
